    Summer Safety in the Country

Our favourite thing about our new house is the outdoor space! When we lived in the townhouse in the city, we ended up spending a majority of our time inside. It just took way more effort to play outside. Now that we have acres of land to call our own, the kids have their own personal playground and are getting fresh air for hours a day. Whether their jumping on the trampoline or playing with the chickens, we’re soaking up a lot more Vitamin D then we ever have before! Some days we even do our schoolwork outside, because why not? Summer Safety in the Country Because we spend so…

Our Potty Training Method | Pampers Easy Ups Training Underwear

There are tons of potty training methods out there! Whether you plan to embrace the three-day, the no pants, the wait and see, or the scheduled style, we parents all have the same goal in mind: to teach our kids to use the toilet independently. Each of my kids have been different. The first was ready to go (no pun intended) just after the age of two with little encouragement. Our next child needed more time and was three. Daylight Savings | Tips for the Time Change with Kids!

I’ll never forget the biggest time change I ever dealt with. I was 19 and had flown to Europe for three weeks of travel with some friends. My days and nights completely flipped around and all I wanted to do was sleep. When I returned home, I woke up at 4:00am for a week. Can you imagine dealing with that time change with kids? It’s why we haven’t ventured to Europe with our littles yet! As we stare Daylight Savings in the face once again, I’m thankful we’ve only got one hour to worry about! That said, a time change with kids can still be a real struggle. Especially when…

  • Disney Pixar’s Coco now available

Should Christians See Coco | A Review

Should Christians see Coco? When I first saw trailers for this Disney Pixar film, I was hesitant. I knew little about the Mexican holiday, Day of the Dead, also known as Dia De Muertos. Skeletons aren’t funny to me, and I didn’t see how I would enjoy a movie like this. I was surprised when my six year old expressed interest. For a kid who is generally scared of a lot, he wasn’t the least bit frightened by the trailer. Turns out Coco was showing for free on our upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation, so we decided to take the oldest kids. Our oldest loved it! He thought the characters…
